It's not that the baq designer doesn't have access; the field just doesn't exist. Epicor will sometimes calculate additional fields and add them to the dataset. They usually do this to avoid bringing in a whole new bo/adapter/dataview when they only need 1-2 fields from the table. In other cases, it is useful info that wouldn't be proper to store in the DB, "active user" or something like that.
Because the BPM is dealing with the runtime dataset and not the actual DB, it has access to the additional fields.
