# Missing PO Suggestions

I have a part for some reason stopped generating PO Suggestions.  MRP runs and create MRP jobs but it is throwing the part into NEG.  It is not generating PO Suggestions.  I have check everything and I can't figure out why.

PO Suggestions is checked; Part is Pur an part and Plant level.  I don't have MPR check but didn't think it was needed.

Just confirm that Quantity bearing is on also.

Check Process MRP and see if you get a suggestion.

Some thing to verify... if you have generate PO suggestions run separately
as a scheduled process you may not need MRP checked on...If you count on
MRP running to generate the suggestions, which it will, then you may need
MRP checked on as well.

I was wondering if I needed MRP checked for that part.  I did it in TEST and it generated suggestions.  Thanks Kim

So if we are running MRP and expect PO Suggestion to run as a part of MRP...we need to have Process MRP checked on all Purchased parts for it to pick up.  We currently don't have this checked on any Purchased Parts.

Kim,

That is correct.  Have you tried running Generate PO Suggestions separately?  If not, try it to see if it gives you suggestions.  It should but I would test it in your test database to verify it.  If it does, then you would just kick off Generate PO Suggestions after running MRP.  That would save you from having to check the MRP flag on all purchased parts.
