Is EMA something you have to purchase? If not how do you set it up? I am just looking in to this as I saw something from a DATIX website on their blog relating to mobile dashboards, and want to play around with it. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.
I just had a discussion with our president about some changes with CRM Task Sets, etc but at the end we talked about how to get our outside sales force to use it more. We both have our iPhones attached to our hip and our outside sales reps also have iPhones. Are any of your outside sales force accessing their task lists or other CRM features with their phones? We tried Information Worker with 8 but I think it put such a sour taste in everyone's mouth no one has looked at it for 9. Is it better? Is it worth looking at again or trying to get it up and working? Has anyone tried linking up Appigo sync's to their outlook (with tasks brought in from information worker) and then used the iPhone ToDo app?
I'm open to any suggestions to making Epicor more accessible to our outside sales force. Thank you in advance.
Emily

So yes, we have been using EMA (Epicor Mobile Access) for some time with level of success, but need more buy-in from the sales force.
This tools performs really nice and fast and can give users just about everything they need assuming they have 3G connectivity.
Issue with current tool is the lack of developed dashboards.
So, this is a framework that allows you to develop the dashboards – would be nice if we have a set of D.B that mirror the current set of CRM functions and we could modify/customize to our company
But, this is a very nice and well performing tools set!

Currently we have 8.03.408B Vantage and the sales people want to use something like salesforce or act! from the web to generate quotes from their iphones or laptops and send that data to Vantage CRM to begin the order process. I was told windows 7 doesn't work with 8 infoworker. Looked at alternative solutions connect interface ($20K??) and am hoping there is a cheaper solution?
