services that we wanted to avoid.
And, if we let it ... you'd be seeing ads all day long from vendors offering
their services.
We've had a number of cases of vendors/consultants doing both over the
years.

You did not cover the case of a user asking for advice OFF-Line on third
Party Consultants.
Is it forbidden to respond, OFF-LINE, to that request, since that could turn
out to be more useful then anything on the list server. On the M2K
(manage-2000) list server, some laid-off users became consultants by word of
mouth.
I am NOT challenging, just asking for guidance.

Advertising or soliciting is NOT allowed.
This is just a reminder for Vendors that they are not allowed to solicit ON
the list or OFF the list as a reply to a posting on the list.
Doing so will get you removed from the list.
Having your name at the end of your posting is fine.
A signature line that includes company name is ok.
A signature line that is a giant AD . will also get you removed from the
list.
If anyone on the list is approached by a vendor or Epicor partner on or off
the list offering assistance or whatever . please give me a call at the
number listed below.
This group decided some 12 or 13 years ago . that this is a zero tolerance
issue.
We wanted a group that could exchange ideas and assistance with being
bombarded with vendors or Epicor partners.
And now back to your regularly scheduling programming .
