Modifying the Priority Dispatch Report

I could believe that. I think I read that somewhere else as well but
the person didn't seem too convincing.

Unfortunately I doubt that we'll be needing the SDK for anything, (I
don't *think* I'll be needing to calculate fields). I take it there
is no way for anyone to at least let me know how that particular field
(Calc_NexResGrp in the ScheduledResources table), is comprised?

Thanks a lot for your help Adam!

Specs...
Epicor Vantage 8.03.405a
Crystal Reports Developer Release XI

--------------------------

Hello,

I am currently trying to modify the priority dispatch report. This
will be the first production report I have attempted to modify, but
everything we want to modify is relatively simple. One thing I'm
trying to do, however, is figure out where the "Next Res. Group" field
is coming from. I see it is coming from a calculated field from the
magical table called "ScheduledResources" but I realized I have no
idea where Report Calculated Fields come from or what not. I looked at
the RDD to see what was going on and found where it's basically just a
spot where you create the label name and the format type...

So I guess my main question would be is, how can I learn more about
these Report Calculated Fields? And most specifically, how can I
determine where exactly the one mentioned above is coming from?

Thank you all for your time and help!

Mike,

If I am not mistaken, you need the software development kit to be
able to see/modify those calculated fields. Without it, you cannot
see the existing calculations, and you cannot make new calculated
fields in RDDs. If you try to make a new calculated field without
the SDK, all you can do is name it and give it a data type, but it
will just be a blank field that you cannot populate with any date.
Hope this helps.
