I’ve had a request to move a resource from one Resource Group to another… the Move Resource button works just fine in our Pilot environment. Our Resource Groups are all set up in the same way, so I don’t expect any clashes there.
Really, just a sense check that there aren’t any red flags in doing this? All works fine in Pilot, and, call me a cynic, but it’s almost too seamless… I’m worried about it biting me once we make the change in Live.
Are there any particular ramifications that anyone is aware of, or is it really that straightforward? 
We have moved resources between groups a few different times as we pushed for better use of Epicor’s scheduling tools. As far as I remember, we didn’t have any issues with it, and it worked well. You will want to go through any part methods and open jobs that use that resource and fix the resource group that’s assigned, though. The Move Resource process won’t update those and they’ll be pointing to the old resource group.
