Hi,

Thank you so very much. I have successfully backed up my settings and will give it a go!

Ensure you backup all settings, etc. Once Service Connect is installed on the new machine right click Connectivity and select Restore. The actual installation of Service Connect is pretty straight forward. Just be sure you have a good backup of the settings, etc. so they can be restored on the new machine.

Hello,

We are migrating Service Connect to a new server and am looking for some assistance. Does anyone have a manual or help guide on how to migrate? We had consultants do the initial setup so we are not too familiar with the original install.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Downloading the installation manual from epicweb should do the trick. It's a very straight forward install. You'll need to pay attention to the type of web service used (if any) in your work flows (WCF or WSE). If you have a web sight currently deployed on your sever in IIS you'll need to consider whether or not you want a separate site or to drop it in the default one. If you don't have one in use, just use the default website. Do a backup of everything in your original server and do a restore on your new installation. Depending on your version there may be wizards which help reimport web services and or .net assemblies. If you're using earlier 8 versions you'll only be contending with WSE services and reimporting them isn't too difficult if you don't have a pile of them. Remember to deploy the services to the website before importing them into your service connect administrative console.
