Vantage now counts all demand for consuming an MPS. Previously, only demand
for orders was counted, resulting in inaccurate information on the Time
Phase Report.

So MRP counts all demand, why doesn't WIP count all transaction types for
demand also?
EXAMPLE:
A part is made to STOCK, sometimes it goes to stock (MFG-STK) then ships
later (STK-CUS), sometimes it ships from the job (MFG-CUS), it's a nice
feature. Vantage doesn't force me to put things into inventory like some ERP
systems do. This is one of the reasons I purchased Vantage.
BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT
The problem is TimePhase doesn't subtract out (MFG-CUS) transactions for
STOCK parts.
Now if it's good enough for MRP why isn't it good enough for actual WIP?
Otherwise: Vantage should not allow shipments from JOBS on parts checked as
STOCK forcing us to put everything into inventory like other ERP systems.
Actually this has been on my Vantage Pet Peeve list since version 2.7,
that's right 2.7!!!
Anyone want to discuss (MFG-PLT) the multi-plant thing, my guess it's a
problem also.
