I have a good amount of unfirm jobs where the material is being pulled from the wrong site. When the user firms up the job, he has to go in and change it to the correct site. Notice in my screenshot, the highlighted part is setup in “TSE 2” but for some reason in the job material its setup in the “TSE 1” site. Not all jobs are doing this. Any ideas?
Hi Andrew,
I am surprised that only certain jobs are doing this.
We have three plants (i.e., sites) and have found that if a part is going to be used in a plant, it needs to be setup for that plant, with part plant details for how the part will be supplied (purchased, mfrd, transferred from another plant). So you appear to be doing a job in TSE1, but expect to see the part getting taken from another plant, TSE2.
The only way I think that it will happen is via transfer order, and the part would need to be setup as transfer part from TSE2 in the part plant TSE1 detail…Then MRP runs and makes transfer suggestions.

Everything is done under site TSE2. The job doesn’t (shouldnt) touch other sites.
