UPDATE2! We figured it out. The method was set to Sequential instead of Concurrent. Changing this solved all of our issues.
UPDATE - We usually check to recycle our jobs when running MRP. For a last ditch effort to fix this, we unchecked that box to do a full regen. It worked. For some reason recycling jobs for co-parts does not work. I don’t know if that’s a bug, or expected and it just doesn’t warn you anywhere in documentation(that I could find).
I am having an issue with our first co-parts set up. We have everything set up correctly as far as I can tell using the information in the engineering guide. I ran MRP manually with the same settings that the nightly MRP run uses and all the job suggestions looked perfect. Then, MRP ran overnight and the job quantities suggested were double what they should be for the main part, and tripled for the co-part. We have the method set up to make one of each part. Any ideas why that would happen? The only processes we run with MRP are the Production Planning Process and PO suggestions. Below are screenshots of time phase and the jobs with correct and incorrect quantities. Any insight would be appreciated!
Manual MRP run - correct quantities
Job with correct qty
Nightly MRP run - incorrect quantities
