So, we have a part that has not been showing up on our MRP report. I was asked to look into it and when I did I noticed in Job Manager a job for 52 that was 3 months old and still open. Not to unusual for our stock items, so I called about it. It was shipped out 3 months ago. However, with this job still being open and another job entered today for 50, would that of caused the MRP report not to show anything?
William, that depends on the parameters of your report. I hate to assume, it would be nice to know what your parameters were while running the report.
If your parameters were today’s date and MRP ran, let’s say, midnight then all jobs created by MRP with that part number would show on your report.
If the job was manually entered after MRP was run and, depending on what this report’s tables are your using, then no the part would show up.
There’s a lot factors here left undefined. I would suggest writing a BAQ on the Job tables.
Did your final inspector actually did the job receipt to inventory? If the job was shipped already and it is still showing in Time Phease, probably there was no receipt to stock.
Regards
Not until I pointed it out yesterday. They just left it all this time.
In the end, I noticed they ahd no min’s or max’s. Just had them enter all those parameters and we will see what happens.
