Sorry. I use Access workgroups and the authorization error is what my
users report to me when they do not have access to the workgroup or
object. I'm assuming you are hitting the checkbox to save the password
otherwise Access would be prompting you for it from the ODBC driver. Is
it happening on just one machine or if it is happening on everyone's
computer? What version of Access are you using? Can you connect to the
database with another ODBC app to try an isolate if the problem is with
the ODBC driver, server or application?

I guess I am not being clear. The authorization fails with the
progress database, not the access one. Basically I can create an
access database, link the tables, and open them just fine. But once
I close the access database and come back in, the linked tables no
longer work. I then get the authorization error when trying to open
the linked tables. If I create a brand new access DB and link the
tables again it works. But only as long as I have it opened. Then
it breaks after I close it and come back in.
