MS Software Assurance - Quote to Low?

The only stuff I have seen that cheap is grey market OEM licenses or
counterfeit. However, if they are legit, I would certainly be interested.
Who is the vendor?

I am starting to get quotes from Vendors for M$ software. I have one
vendor who came in EXTREMELY low.

The numbers are below:

Microsoft OS $49.00
Office 2000 Pro $240.00

Which to me seems to low. Now these prices do not include assurance but
geez they seem to good to be true. Are these numbers compariable to
anyone else's.

They do seem to be low. Who is the vendor? I'd like to get a quote from
them as well.

Dina,

I'd check out the vendor with MS Sales before I'd buy anything. There is
ALOT of bootleg MS software being produced worldwide.

We're talking phony MS boxed product. From the box to CD to the license -
it all looks good but it's NOT valid.

So what happens if you get audited and the software you bought is illegal ?
Same thing that would happen if you just flat out copied it.

It is your responsibility to make sure that the software you are purchasing
is legal.

You might call Edie Yae ( listed below ). She should be able to verify if
the reseller that is giving you these quotes is valid.

Your doing better than I am. I'm in the same boat, were building a server
room / network from scratch. And the best price I've seen so far is:
Office XP Pro: $396.00 and I was told Office 2000 Pro isn't sold any more.
But with the XP Pro license, you could put Office 97 or 2000 or Pro on your
system. It's backwards compatible.

If your contact are good, please send me names, numbers and etc...
