Multi-Company RMA Process

We have two companies in our Epicor environment:

Company A - Selling company
Company B - Manufacturing/repair company

A customer returns a part to Company A. An RMA is created in Company A. Company A is unable to repair the part. This part has to be sent back to Company B to be repaired. Company B would have to create an RMA to track the repair process.

The issue is that Epicor does not support any form of cross-company RMA, meaning we are unable to link Company A’s RMA to Company B’s RMA.

Has anyone implemented a method to track and link RMAs across companies in Epicor? Did you use customization, UD tables, BPMs, or another approach?

Company A should disposition the RMA to a rework job.
The rework job should have a subcontract operation with a supplier of company B.
Issue subcontract po from company A to company b - process as usual from there like it was any other vendor.
