Multi-Site set up

Michelle

Thanks for your help, I am seeing most processes flow correctly now.
The one issue is the DMR and inspection warehouses default to the 02
division even if I am in the 03 division. (All product classes point
to the 02 division as a default.

I am thinking it is something to do in our QC module set up, but
nothing is specific. I made sure that the DMR was disposed via 03
and the operation NCR that was used for the DMR was failed to a 03
warehouse. Our DMR write off expense was 03 though.

If you want to contact me direct on this, my e-mail is mhoge@trust-
miltronics.com

I have a question for Multi-site g/l account number assignment. We
have two divisions that use the same material, but we want to segregate
the financial performance. We were able to identify the various
seperate WIP/COS accounts through different product groups (we use
three division codes (01 for common, 02 for one plant and 03 for
another). The problem we are having revolves around the fact that each
plants uses the same material in some instances and in turn, how to
differ the drivers that are in the part class. Right now, we use one
raw material account and one finishes good, DMR, inspection and DMR
write off (all reference the 01 division). Obviously not ideal. Any
feedback would be helpful, even if it means we need to look at our set
up all together.

Mike,

First you need to set up the each plant with it's own division 02 and
03.

Second, you need to make sure that all the G/L accounts that are
division specific are set up with both divisions.

Then you create one Part Class/Product Group per G/L account and assign
to each part.

Based on the plan you are working in, that drives the division of the
G/L account associated to that class.

Example:

I am logged into plant/division 02 but the part that I am using has a
division of 03 in the part class/product group. In the G/L both the 02
and 03 divisions are set up to be used. My transaction will post to the
02 division because I am logged into the 02 plant.

If this doesn't make sense feel free to call me. My number is below..
