No need to purchase multi-company.
You can set up additional companies in System Management => Configuration
Maintenance => Company.
If you ever think you may want combined statements (from Vantage), I
recommend that you set all the companies up with the same COA.

Subject: [Vantage] Multiple Company Charts
We are on v8.03.404. I am trying to figure out the simplest, most cost
effective way to add 2 additional chart of accounts. These 2 companies
are currently accounted for using an old legacy system. They idea is
to get them onto the same platform as our manufacturing company
(Vantage). All 3 companies have different tax id's and will never have
merged statements.
Any ideas? I'm unclear as to how this can be setup without having to
purchase multi-company.
