Multiple employees clocked into same Operation (Resource) at the same time

I know this was asked previously, but it does not answer my question. I have a Resource that has 3 or more employees that are logged in at the same time. How can I setup my Resources/Resource Groups so that it will only capture the Burden (machine time) one time and still capture the employee times separately. For example, machine 1 runs for 3 hours and has 3 employee working at the same time. Each employee would have 3 hours of direct labor but how does one setup the machine hours correctly?

We do not schedule employees. We only schedule the Resources and Reesource Groups.

You can get this behavior by selecting “split burden” on the resource setup.

I setup my resource group that way, but when i entered times thru T&E, the burden for both employees where identical. I expected to see the burden hours to be 1/2 of what they are for the date of 10/6 and they are not.

I believe when you enter in time and expense, you have full control of that labor and burden hours. It may default to what you see there when entered manually. ( we had some problems with reporting because of this when supervisors edit employee records)

If both those employees are clocked into the same resource ( not shown above), it will split the burden between any number of employees during normal labor collection.

If you want to test this, change the setting in your test environment, create a new job and clock in thru data collection with 2 or more employees on the same resource.

Thank you. I will do that. I forgot to check the burden when I did the T&E.
