Multiple NIC Card Setup

Our server is an HP and both NIC's are HP. The entire team setup is handled through the HP Network Config Utility. Ours are configured for Load Balancing with Fault Tolerance. The majority of the time one handles RX and the other TX, but there is some overlap when you look at the utilization stats.

Does anyone out there in Vantage land have multiple NIC cards installed
and running on their Vantage server?

We are running two 1000Mbps NIC's in our Vntg 8.03 server. All of our switches are gigabit, upgraded them ahead of 8.03 was part of our plan. We tested the server with just one NIC and running them both in a load balancing team made for better performance at the client.

I think so. We have our's in load balancing mode. It essentially doubles the bandwidth.

Watch out for NIC teaming and printing. I had an old HP printer (as I recall) that was simply invisible to an HP server that I had configured to use NIC teaming. I couldn't ping the printer from the server, but I could from anywhere else. Once I removed the teaming config, the problem went away.
