Multiple part numbers coming from the same job

Good to know! Better to hear everything up front that find it out after
the fact. Thanks!

Epicor 9.05.701

I found a thread related to the topic above but it wasn't exactly what I am
looking for. We need to create one job that will produce two different part
numbers which can be taken to stock (a left and a right). Is anyone doing
this? If so, can you share with me how you accomplish this? TIA!

Advanced Production allows this. Pre-9.05, 700, you would add the second part to the method on the job as a Job-Part. From 700 forward you can still do it on the job, but can also create a method with 2 or more Co-Parts.

Thanks for the help with this. When we originally were talking about
this using co-parts, we thought it would be a problem because co-parts
do not allow serialization. This should not be a problem as we are not
serializing each part but we do use lot tracking.

Be careful to explore the costing ramifications. We can't use the Job Parts successfully because it divides the costs in a ratio. I have a $10000 assembly that sheds a few parts during a conversion process. I want to say the part A carries all value except Part B gets $4 and Part C gets $6. Doesn't work that way though!

Thanks for the help with this. When we originally were talking about
this using co-parts, we thought it would be a problem because co-parts
do not allow serialization. This should not be a problem as we are not
serializing each part but we do use lot tracking.
