Multiple POs When Processing PO Suggestions

We’re running Kinetic 2024.1.13, On Prem (Azure). Generate Suggestions runs every night in Regenerative mode. The way we structure our jobs, we often have several thousand lines on PO Suggestions (Kinetic form). Since “Auto Select” doesn’t follow the filters in PO Suggestions (at least not in our version) we end up filtering for a supplier and having to manually check the “Buy” button on every row we want to process. Then we click “Process Suggestions” and it grinds, and grinds, and grinds, then freezes, and eventually finishes the task (up to an hour later). And at the end of all of that, we discovered that Kinetic created multiple PO Lines/releases for the same demand.

Have any of my fellow Epicorians experienced this, and if so how have you corrected matters.

I’ve come across this issue in the past, this KB Article helped us find the reason it was happening (KB0050280). For us the problem was getting multiple POs generated for the same supplier.

The following value must be in same value to combine from PO Suggestion:

  • Buyer
  • Supplier Code
  • Unit Price
  • Terms
  • Ship Via
  • FOB

If there are multiple due dates for the same part for a supplier, multiple releases are created for the purchase order line.
