My Son - Update

So glad to receive such glorious news so close to Christmas. I hope his
(and your family's) recovery is swift and uneventful.

To all that prayed and/or responded:

Austin is home from the hospital. He will eventually be fine.

He suffered a fractered skull (but no brain damage), a cracked pelvis, torn
liver and spleen (but no surgery needed) and a broken jaw (which did need
surgery to install a titanium plate and eight screws to hold the jaw bone
together), in addition to many bruises and abrasions.

He is alive and well due to the power of God as well as some assistance from
the police, fire rescue, paramedics, nurses, doctors and many, many well
wishers and caring people such as yourselves.

I am truly greatful for everything that complete strangers (but all fellow
human beings) did for our son.

Yes, Austin is home from the hospital. Life is good today.

Thank you all.

Love,

Rick Gors

Rick,

Thanks for having the courage to ask.

I specifically asked for "only a little worse for the wear."

Dan Maddox

PS It was about this time of the year (during the worst 1995 blizzard in
the NorthEast) that my daughter was mauled by a dog. A hundred and 21
stitches later ( and a couple of years), and she was fine.
