The only time I've had the dead loop issue crop up is when there was a
conflict with a bpm monitoring the process. Depending on the conditions it
might not always be an issue for everyone. Not saying that's your issue, but
it's what jumped out from my experience...

I have a handful of users who, from time to time, get a dead loop error when
processing sales orders. No one else has the problem at that time and the
user h he error o matter what client machine they use.

We create a new user account for them with identical rights as the old one
and all is ok for several weeks or more.

One user is up to 6 such accounts. Epicor of course saw it can't be
happening because dead loop errors are a server issue and security/users are
a client side issue

Any thoughts?

The other thing I would try rather than deleting their account is to clear client cache and have them delete / recreate their favorites if they use a favorite to open that screen.

If that doesn't work I would go into the personalization for that account and blow any personalization away on order entry related screens, have the user clear cache, close Epicor and go back in (even if you don't allow personalizations in the user security people can have personalizations).

As a last resort, bring that account in "Personalization Purge" and select EVERYTHING in the list, including history & layouts, and purge them. We only had to go to that extreme 2x - and both users were operating fine after that.

We get dead loop errors too. I think the user just reboots and continues on until it happens again.
