Thanks Paul. (Makes more hopeful their is a solution we have missed.)

Hi Rob,

I do not have an answer for you, but was just wondering if anyone had
replied to you directly, instead of through the group? And if so,
would you share any suggestions you had received? Seems like this
would be a real issue with users?

Does anyone know of an efficient way to save/retain user specific Named Searches (BAQ based)?

Every client upgrade/re-install blows them away and it is going to be quite a (growing) chore to recreate them user by user.

I'm not seeing any way to export them directly for (at least a managable, methodical) re-import.

So far, we haven't been exporting user personalizations (as they are few). Perhaps Named Searches are preserved in the exported personalization xml????

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thx

Hi Joy,

No direct responses I'm afraid.

It increasingly looks to me like named searches - if export/re-import supported at all - are supported through the general app personalization export/re-import process.

When I test, I'll post lessons learned (or someone may yet share their knowledge/experience).

I agree: Potentially quite annoying to users (if no export/re-import method exists) at Epicor's current rate of releasing updates.
