Need help running endact.r

Here is a response from Epicor that applies if you are running version or
later:
Below that is for version 6.1 before 535

Created a call per your email, after version 6.10.535 you can run the
endact.r from data conversion, please see below

Summary: DC Database Conversions 7,428 and 7429 Replace Endact.r
and Clockout.r
Book: Support Solutions
Page: 6595MPS

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Endact.r and Clockout.r are needed to remove active labor header and detail
transactions that cannot be manually removed.

PROBLEM RESOLUTION:
Version 6.10.535 has added the following database conversion programs under
the System Management>Utilities folder:

7,428 - End Activity on Labor Detail Transactions - cv/cvjc0050.w 7,429
- End Activity on Labor Header Transactions - cv/cvjc0051.w

Conversion Program 7,428, End Activity on Labor Detail Transactions, is the
replacement for the Endact.r program as this allows you to change the active
labor detail transaction from Yes to No to log the user out of the job
operation transaction that they were stuck on.

Conversion Program 7,429, End Activity on Labor Header Transactions, is the
replacement for the Clockout.r program as this allows you to change the
active labor header transaction from Yes to No to log the user out of data
collection and their active time card record.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RUNNING CONVERSION PROGRAMS:

Conversion Program 7,428 - End Activity on Labor Detail Transactions 1.
Go to System Management>Utilities>Database Conversions. 2. Highlight
7,428 - End Activity on Labor Detail Transactions and choose
Conversion>Run Conversion Program. Say Yes to the Are You Sure message.
3. Type in your Company ID and the Employee ID number and click the Get
Detail Transactions button. You should see the active job detail
transaction with a status of YES. Type NO in the Active column. 4.
Click Done.

Conversion Program 7,429, End Activity on Labor Header Transactions 1.
Go to System Management>Utilities>Database Conversions. 2. Highlight
7,429 - End Activity on Labor Header Transactions and choose
Conversion>Run Conversion Program. Say Yes to the Are You Sure message.
3. Type in your Company ID and the Employee ID number and click the Get
Transactions button. You should see the active time card transaction with a
status of YES. Type NO in the Active column. 4. Click Done.

Subject: [Vantage] Need help running endact.r

I have recently taken over as the system administrator at my company.
We have a user hung in data collection and I have been able to
determine that I need to run endact.r to get them 'unhung'. My
question is, how do I run endact.r?

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Mike

Mike:

If you are on 6.10. 542 the tool or programs you need to run are already there. Go into System Management then into Utilities then into Database conversion. Scroll until you find program 7428 and run it, after that run 7429 that should clear the user.
