Negative Inventory on Serial Tracked Parts

We have the KB for fixing negative inventory on serial tracked parts when there isn’t a serial number to adjust.

I’m trying to figure out how this is happening though. Every screen requires a serial number that we are using. We do have a couple non-nettable bins for RMA returns and factory seconds, when we ship units from those they have to select the proper bin for the serial numbers to appear. I’ve seen this in 10.1 and 10.2 so far.

Anyone else ever see this and get to the root cause?

do you more than one site?

We do have 2 sites. Most of the parts I’ve been finding this with only have 1 site record on them.

SN settings are per site. We found that out the hard way. If the problem parts are only one site though your issue will be different to ours.

Does Part Transaction History Tracker show when you went negative?
