I’ve been setting up a new instance to test what a “fresh” redeployment would look like. Everything has come over great with the DMT, but the GL has some oddities. I think I’ve missed something.
The first clue is GLs not populating on PO Releases for ‘Other’ type lines. The Part Class is selected, and the Class has a GL Control configured, but the GL doesn’t populate with the ‘Get Default’ button.
The second is GL Postings getting hung up in the Review Journal. They error with “Combination of Controlled Segments is invalid. Account is inactive.”
From everything I can tell, the segments are imported and the GL accounts are active.
I know there is a lot going on with the GL and this isn’t much to go on, but I’m hoping someone else has stumbled on this issue and can shed some light.
Are you sure that gl account is actually created? I have seen that before and in my case it meant that the segments were created but the actual gl account was not.
Next would be the GL Control codes and making sure they are set up the exact same as in the other system and that the entities they are linked to are exactly the same in the environments.
