I am trying to find the table/file that contains the inventory transactions.
The Parttran shows only transactions up to Jan 2, 2001. Thus it must have
been changed. We are currently using ( I use that term loosely) 5.00.310.

Apparently, our major problems with make-to-stock jobs was caused by not
fully applying each patch in the early stages. It seems from what I was
told that the patched DO rely on each other. I applied all current (as of
1/22/01) patches then got into eMfg causing some processing not to take
place that was needed for conversion. One of those undocumented problems,
even the patches themselves only ask that you are using 5.00.301 not
reflecting this interdependence. Usually patches are all inclusive, the
files maybe but not the programs executed after the patch. BE CAREFUL.

Anyhow they basically said I am on my own because they are afraid if they
try to write a fix they will mess up current info. Seems lame that they
can't right a program to adjust jobs that were open during the conversion.
I sent the database so maybe something will come of it if I'm still here, my
job has been threatened over this one and I have three days to figure out
the problem with no source code.

The bug that didn't get fixed basically ignores material costs associated
with MFG receipts ( we autorecieve to inventory ) created prior to the
conversion to 5.0 and when the job is costed it creates a huge variance for
the material. Probably related to why I can't find the damn part
transactions file, it can't either!!!!!

Does anyone know what other transactions are created when the job is closed?
My biggest concern is that AVE cost has been affected. That would be a
difficult one to repair.

Darren,

You might want to go check the date on your server. I bet you will find the
system date is not 2/23/2001 but perhaps 2/23/2000. That's why your
transactions aren't appearing like you expect. That could also explain the
problem with jobs you are seeing.

Darren,

When did you upgrade to V5? Are you using a Report Builder report to
determine that the last transaction was 1/2/2001? If so, did you change the
report to point to the V5 database? Just grasping at straws here.
