New Problem with WIP Report

The original problem where the subcontract showed negative balances showed
up on the March 2002 month end reports. We upgraded to 5.1 on March 2, 2002.
We installed Patches 116,117,118, and 119 by the end of March. I don't know
which installation triggered the problem.

Thanks for the FYI, Karen. Do you know if this an issue in 5.1?

This is an FYI. We have had problems with our WIP report since last March.
There was a calculation error that added the WIP Subcontract to WIP
Material. Consequently, the subcontract account showed negative balances.
This was finally fixed with the upgrade to 5.2, Patch 305. While trying to
reconcile year end, I discovered that the Subcontract and Material
accounts
had yet another calculation error. It has to do with rejected parts from
subcontractors. On the WIP report, rejected parts are added to subcontract
instead of subtracted. The rejected parts are subtracted from material for
costing purposes, but the WIP report includes the cost of the rejects in
the
Material balance. As a result, Material and Subcontract are overstated on
the report. I was going crazy trying to figure out why my reports do not
balance with the GL. Thank you Vantage for another calculation error.
