Hello. I am new to Epicor. Sorry if this is a newbie question.
We have used JD Edwards World for 20+ years. I am working on bringing my data over into a test environment using DMT. I need some direction on how to best learn the data structure of Epicor so I can bring my data over and get it in the right tables. Is there a technical guide somewhere I can reference or maybe something in Epicor university?
I have loaded several things using DMT: Customers, Suppliers, Part Master and BOM Materials and Operations. Currently, I am working on bringing my Operations times into Epicor and setting the direct labor rate. What tables do those live in or where would I go to learn about this process.
We are using Standard cost and direct labor. We are not using individual employee rates.
this is a fairly complex question… especially when talking about building out your BOM/Routing structure… to update the labor structure, it is probably different than JDE. We consider the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Operations (BOO) as one set of data called the Method of Manufacture (MOM). All this data is edited in the Engineering Workbench, and stored in tables with an “ECO” prefix (ECORev, ECOMtl, etc) The labor time is stored in the ECO Operation table.
the LABOR RATES are stored in another linked table… the Resource Groups & Resources store the labor. Each operation is tied to a specific resource.
@SteveC1 We went with generic team members as resources as we flex our teams around the work. This was my DMT template for loading resource groups and resources. Core resource groups AND RESOURCES.xls (49.5 KB)
