(new topic) Exporting payroll into ADP via CVS

Kevin:
I'm working on this as I type - well not while I type - but you
get my drift. I have an export setup to get it into an excel spreadsheet,
then a macro that formats it into a .csv file. Call me and I'll get you
specifics.

Subject: [Vantage] (new topic) Exporting payroll into ADP via CVS

We are trying to adapt a New payroll system here. We want to use "ADP
PC/Payroll for Windows". They (ADP) suggest that we import our 'pay data'
into their app via .csv format. To do this we must first export the Pay data
out of Vantage. I have called Vantage and they were helpful and directed me
into the right direction, but I was wondering if anyone else has done this
(or similar) and if they would be willing to give further directions

There is a .prl report for exporting payroll in the eGroups files. We were GOING to use it (but haven't yet). There report is quite complicated because it adjusts for our unique lunch breaks, rounding of hours, etc. There is one report to print (so our financial person can audit the numbers to look for discrepancies), and the other report is for export to ADP.
We also had set up indirect codes in Vantage to represent the different types of Vacation, Sick Days, Jury Duty, etc. which would be entered by hand into Vantage. The export program captures these as well. We just haven't gotten around to implementing the whole shabang.

I don't know much more about it, but there it is if it can help you.
