I found this EpiUsers post about graphs in regular dashboards (not EDD) and the consensus was, it’s not achievable in regular dashboards ‘yet’. The ‘yet’ was from 3 years ago, and there hasn’t been a post about it since (from what I can see anyway). Do we need EDD to have a fancy pie graph?
If you can create your pie graph in data discovery, you can view it right on your Kinetic layout. I have a tab specifically for a couple of charts and a table, so I don’t have to run anything. I just open Kinetic and click on the tab. I hate EDD as much as the next guy, but in this case it actually worked great!

Yes the old dashboard BAQ based data visualizations are gone. You are now meant to use EDD or Grow widgets.
