'No Quote' Quotes

You could always add a checkbox control and hijack one of the .checkbox## fields to indicate 'no quote'.

Is there a field in Vantage where a user can signify that a quote WILL NOT be quoted?

We have a bunch of 'Not Quoted' quotes in the system. Some of them we just haven't quoted yet and some we have decided that we will not quote the business.

Any way to tell the difference?

Thanks,
Jasper

The default form translates a zero dollar quote as 'not quoted'.

Hi Jasper,

Back here on version 5.2 we did we had the same issue and use VB Form.
We added a checkbox for "NO QUOTE" and a drop-down for reasons. Our
procedure is that if we decide to 'no quote' the quoted assigned goes
into the VB form, checks off NO QUOTE and selects a reason from the
drop-down. Then back at the quote, manually 'closes' the quote.

5.2 has no standard quote reporting so all of the quoting reports we use
were home-grown anyway, and we use this field in combination with others
for our reporting purposes.

HTH,
Sarah

Isn't a task assigned?

Where the Quote would be "won" or "lost"?

I would think that would be the best way to tell the difference. Set the
Quote to "Lost" if you aren't going to quote the business.

I've never seen the 'Won' or 'Lost' field. Where is that?

Thanks!

I think that 'comes alive' with quotes only if you have CRM?
