This newly hired professional will lead an established team responsible
for managing information systems and computing resources for the entire

prioritize IT projects and successfully implement new technology across
multiple locations, while partnering with senior management and outside
constituents to ensure timeliness and efficiency.

Position Profile



Company Background:

AngioDynamics, (www.angiodynamics.com), is a leading provider of
innovative medical devices used by interventional radiologists, surgeons
and other physicians for the minimally-invasive treatment of peripheral
vascular disease and cancer. The Company's diverse product line includes
market-leading radiofrequency ablation and NanoKnife(r) systems,
vascular access products, angiographic products and accessories,
dialysis products, angioplasty products, drainage products, thrombolytic
products, embolization products, targeted renal therapy products and
venous products.



Formed in 1988, the Company is headquartered in Latham, NY and has been
a NASDAQ listed company (ANGO) since 2004. AngioDynamics has a global
presence across five operating locations, 700 employees and FY10 Net

Location:

This role will be co-located at AngioDynamics' corporate headquarters
(Latham, NY) and one of the company's manufacturing (Queensbury)
locations, both facilities are in Tech Valley, a 19-county region of
eastern New York State that spans from south of Montreal to north of New
York City. Within the heart of Tech Valley is the Capital District, an
area continually receiving high marks for quality of life and cost of
living. Tech Valley is home to a growing number of innovative companies
in fields such as nanotechnology, semiconductor, alternative energy and
biotechnology. Having both International Sematech (the global consortium
of leading semiconductor manufacturers) and Global Foundries (the
largest single capital build project in the US and the most advanced
semiconductor manufacturing facility in the world), based in the area,
the region is establishing itself as a hotbed for the growth of global
technology companies.



Position Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director, Information
Technology will be an integral constituent of the management team of
AngioDynamics. As a business centric thinker, he/she will proactively
evaluate the global IT needs and requirements of the company in support
of overall business objectives and recommend solutions to the
organization that meet these needs. Our candidate of choice will be an
accomplished, effective and dynamic leader, acting as the bridge between
business management (Global Leadership Team) and the IT team. This
individual will leverage their exceptional communication skills,
technical expertise and leadership abilities to function as an
ambassador for Information Technology into all of the business segments
of the corporation. This professional will be customer focused and a
practical technologist with an ability to successfully identify areas to
implement technology throughout the organization, while efficiently
maintaining existing systems.



The effectiveness of this professional will largely be measured by their
ability to prioritize projects and successfully implement new
technology, systems and processes into a demanding customer base in a
timely, efficient, and cost effective manner.







Responsibilities:

* Keep current, if not ahead, of a constantly evolving business
landscape and develop a strategic IT vision/plan within this context.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to IT infrastructure and IT
organizational models that are most appropriate to support the growth of
the business. Recommend modern tool sets that will encompass the future
objectives of the company including: SAP upgrade to ECC6, CRM, and data
warehousing systems. Ensure technology policies are consistent with
industry best practices.

* Assume responsibility for managing and prioritizing short term
objectives that appropriately align information systems and computing
resources with business needs, including maintenance,
telecommunications, technical support, network infrastructure,
application development, systems implementation and the help desk.

* Lead and earn a respected presence at monthly IT steering
committee with global senior leadership.

* Forecast, budget and manage IT expenses and capital costs.
Develop a strategic plan that appropriately allocates and prioritizes IT
resources in concert with the strategic objectives of the company and
its individual departments.

* While recognizing the sense of urgency and demanding nature of
your customer base, set aggressive, attainable objectives to projects
and manage deliverables through completion.

* Augment the internal IT team with outside vendors to provide
solutions to the information needs of the company including selection,
negotiation, and purchasing of technology products and services.
Evaluate and implement "make or buy" decisions.

* Evaluate the use of new technology and recommend improvements
that will enhance, support and improve the efficiency of the user
community. Stay abreast on current IT infrastructure trends to assist
in: annual business growth/acquisitions, disaster recovery and ensuring
the IT infrastructure can grow with the business.

* Coach, train and direct a highly motivated and talented team
of professionals. Be a competent and technical "sounding board" while
simultaneously ensuring projects meet their performance, cost and
quality targets.

* Lead the effort to ensure a full IT integration for all
acquisitions in both a timely and seamless manner.





Qualifications:

Our candidate of choice will be an energetic, creative and highly
intelligent individual, well respected in their current role who will
bring their technical knowledge, business savvy, exceptional
communication and leadership skills to this position. The ability to
run concurrent projects, manage and prioritize parallel tasks
effectively, and meet deadlines with a high sense of urgency is
essential as the IT team supports the fast paced technical needs of the
user community. The ideal candidate will balance their strong
understanding of ERP and other manufacturing related information systems
with their vision to propel a very stable infrastructure and team to the
next level of customer support and business centric-enabling technology.



Specific qualifications include:

* Highly regarded Information Technology professional possessing
a minimum of 10 years progressive leadership experience within a complex
technology environment.

* Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred;
candidates with varied work experience will be considered. Considerable
experience in the selection, implementation and utilization of ERP
systems.

* Demonstrated history utilizing disciplined project management
methodologies and a best practices framework (Six Sigma, SDLC, ITIL etc.
etc.) in technology environments.

* Previous experience implementing and maintaining mid-range or
enterprise systems in a demanding and diverse end-user business
community. Knowledgeable of application development, network
infrastructure and data warehousing.

* Excellent large-scale project management skills and ability to
multi-task in a highly dynamic and complex technology environment is
essential. SOX exposure desirable.

* BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or an
associated technical education and professional work experience is
required.
