Off topic for this thread but I agree the biggest problem with the icons is nobody knows what they mean. Imagine if you could hover over them and it would have a definition.

We have a set of doors at my work that have pull handles, but a sign that say’s push, and I think about him every time I have to go through them.
They did replace the “Material Complete” icon with a
instead of a
. Looks like the documentation has not caught up.
There is no technical reason why it couldn’t happen though. Trying to think of any other modern webapp that doesn’t have hover tags. Hopefully now that the classic sunset has occurred and development is no longer constrained by what is possible in the client, this can become a possibility.
In addition to hover tags, there’s an Epicor Idea for Card displays (undocked slide outs, whatever) that puts up a card upon hovering.
