Nonconformance BPM

Just wondering if anyone else out there has done something similar to this…

As a company, if we have a coil of material that is too small to utilise, to remove it from the business we create a nonconformance against a scrap code, then do the Inspection processing and then the DMR to remove it from the system.

I would like to know if anyone has created a BPM so that when a certain reason code is selected in nonconformance, it automatically does the steps required in inspection processing and in DMR processing.

Alternatively, should we be doing this another way?

Hi, yes we have done this as standard for our customers, they can automatically create the DMR skipping inspection

For clarification, it still moves through the inspection step, you just have something set up to pass it through there without human intervention?

yes, the user would have matching reason codes, or default reason codes, and a default inspector
