But you notice the one at the top does not have one of those “AdChoices” options. (I see both kinds on this site)
To be fair, the “AdChoices” ads have never been all that bad - maybe lingerie or something, but nothing you wouldn’t see during a football game. (Still not a fan, though.) But these new ads are really offensive - to me personally, but also at work it’s really bad.
Look for trace.admaster.cc in your data files and delete it. Also any others you don’t want.
For Chrome Settings\Privacy and Security \ Site Settings \ View permissions and data stored across other sites
You can delete them all or selectively.
Just curious, do you get to see any click through rates for the ads? Does the site get paid for impressions or click throughs? I wonder how many folks on here click an ad. Personally, I would never, ever, ever click an ad on purpose. I assume they are all fake and full of malware. If I am interested in a service or offering I see in an ad, (I am never interested) I would go to that site directly. Thanks for helping to keep the site clean!
As far as normal, non-offensive ads, I get ones that follow me from Google searches and such. So right now I am seeing Trivago and Sherwin Williams (paint). There are totally innocent ads on here.
I’ll click on those just to deliberately send whatever fraction of a penny to this site.
As far as offensive ones, I want to reiterate that the “AdChoices” ads are fine. I guess there is another ad company in play here that is a bad actor.
Right, but you know what I am saying? The bad ads are different in structure. They don’t say “ADVERTISEMENT” at the top; no way to report, etc. I’d think all AdChoices ads would have that same frame around them. It’s like these other ads are coming from somewhere else.
EDIT: Wait no, it does at least say “ADVERTISEMENT.” Guess I missed that.
Anyway, I don’t know if you can report the particular site to Google.
