(O.T time servers for server 2003)

If you are using Active Directory and Win 2000 or Xp Clients, it is
automatic. Otherwise, do it with a command in the login script.

Hello,

Anybody know of a good Freeware Time server for Server 2003. I was using
About Time on my NT server to keep my data collection clients sync to my
stand alone time clock, used to ring the shift bell.

I am not looking to ring the bell using the server which has been
discussed on this forum before.

Thanks

Why not use the built in Time function in 2003?

I've been using NIStime from the National Insitute of Standards & Technology. Works very well. I keep the server synched and the rest of the net from the server. Your tax dollars at work...so you already paid for it.

NTP: The Network Time Protocol

It's been the standard in the unix world for years; windows pre-compiled
versions are available.

Thank You Jeremy

I was not aware of the time server. I discovered that the Window Time
service was disabled. Now it looks like I just need to configure the
client computers for automatic domain time synchronization.
