ODBC connection in crystal report - Field is not showing

I am using an ODBC connection in Crystal Report in the Job Travelor
form to access the existing Sales Order and pull the header comments
for display in the form. We use the Order Comments on the Sales Order
as a Change Log area. Because of this, if something has changed on the
Sales Order as a whole, production can be notified. (This is for all
the people that will not give up paper.) The problem I have ran into
is when the Comment section is more than a 1000 characters long, the
field does not display. As a matter of fact, at times the information
will display, but the display will be wrong. (Still havent figured that
one out.) Any help would be greatly appreciative. I am willing to
truncate the field in the SQL command if need be.
