ODBC Crystal Problem

Lori,
Thank you! That did it. I knew you could use CR with the DBF files in the
Vntgwrk folder but I want to experiment with other fields via odbc.
Thanks again.
Jim

The default user and password for progress and ODBC is sysprogress and
sysprogress. That's what I use to connect with Crystal into our database.

I am trying to learn how to use Crystal Reports. I've been able to connect
to a copy of our live Progress DB and have CR link tables. However, when I
try to preview the report I get this error.

ODBC error: [MERANT][ODBC PROGRESS driver][PROGRESS]Access
denied(Authorisation failed)

What user name and password should I use? I've tried everything I know of!

Don't ask why but we are still using:

Vantage 4.0
Progress 9.0b
Connected ODBC in System DSN via Merant 3.50 32-BIT Progress SQL92 Driver

I've searched here, and other places but have not found an answer. More info
may be needed to answer this question!

Thanks,
