[ODBC - Prgs 9.1d] DSN with Selected (limited) tables

Thanks Nigel and Lynn. I just found Answerbook 3748MPS about the password part. I'll check the FTP site for the ODBC kit for 6.10 and see about setting up the selected tables part.

to bolt in, or eliminate the need for, a password. I believe there
is documentation on EpicWeb for this. Does anyone know the document
number or FTP location?

We have implemented a 3rd party Corrective Action system that accesses 4 tables in Vantage via ODBC. I would like to lock this down. The current ODBC DSN is wide open. I saw mention in a message thread here a couple weeks ago of a means to select and limit a DSN to specific tables. Also, if possible, at the same time I would like to bolt in, or eliminate the need for, a password. I believe there is documentation on EpicWeb for this. Does anyone know the document number or FTP location?

Hi Todd,

The ODBC kits give details on how to setup new users on the database
and how to give them access to tables (at least the 8.03.400 kit
does).

The kit for 6.1 can be downloaded from ftp://ftpmpls.epicor.com./
vantage/ODBC/. If it's now in that, try the .400 one.

Nigel.
