Odbc problem Blank Title 76830

that was my problem - didn't look at that because it was really weird that
only 2 of the 6 modified reports returned the error.

We have an 'error 599' when a Crystal report uses an ODBC connection and
the Vantage 'Launch' Script, for a certain user or users group, no longer
references the ODBC connection. Sometimes they find and use an old Icon,
launch script should look something like this, note bottom 4 lines:

I have 6 modified crystal reports. All printed fine yesterday. 2 of the
six return Error 599 on 2 workstations only - others work fine. Also, all
the reports work fine on a test database.

Any clues why only 2 reports don't work on only the live Db?

thanks,

Hi All,

We are on Vantage 8.03.305K.

Is there a way, in Vantage, to do lot traceability? By that I mean, I
have a raw material part number and lot number and want to know what
products shipped out that this part/lot went in to. We have multi-level
BOMs and some go many levels deep.

I can certainly do this outside of Vantage using Access but would rather
see if there is some way to do this in Vantage.

Yes the system has a way to "track lots".

If you go into part master, check the Track Lots check box.

Just make sure if you are backflushing, know that the system will NOT
let you track lots.

You can only do one or the other...

1. If not already apply the Crystal Database & Export Patch...especially if there is any other Crystal based reporting tool on those PCs.

2. Logout of Vantage and delete everything in the mfgwrk61 folder and try again. Some users I have had to give a shortcut to a batch routine that does this for them. They end up needing to clean it out a couple times a week.

3. Actually before #2 double check the spelling of the mfgwrk61 folder on those two workstations. It has to match where the DB was verified to when the report was saved. Not sure if this would explain the test DB working though.

4. Make sure the 2 workstations are running only one Vantage session (and have no ghost sessions hanging around).

5. Does print preview work with the live DB? If so try a different printer or printer driver.
