DOS applications create a PIF file in your C:\Windows\PIF directory. If you
go there, right click on it and select properties, there is a check-box for
close on exit. By default, this is always unchecked. Check it, save it,
and your problems should be solved.

Subject: [Vantage] Off Topic-DOS command question
Ya'll:
I can't for the life of me remember the command to close the window after a
DOS .bat file runs. I've tried CLOSE and EXIT but the window remains open.
If it is one of those commands, could the problem be because I'm running the
.bat file by using Windows STARTUP feature?
TIA......
