OFF TOPIC - Network Security

Look into the Sonicwall firewall. It's a hardware based firewall. Port
Address Translation I'm not experienced with, but it does have NAT, and a
host of other features. It is a very solid firewall, and it is very easy to
setup and use. I have two of them. One is connected to a routed network made
up of 5 subnets.

OFF TOPIC

Anyone have ideas for PAT capable firewalls that are under $1000 bucks?

PAT - Port Address Translation

Looking to setup a VPN with PAT though NAT, pack filtering, & a secondary
subnetwork
routed by, uh, the router. This is an on going quest for a pseudo hacker
proof system.

These constraints are tough to work with -
MY FOREHEAD HAS BEEN MADE FLAT!

TIA,
Calvin

ps: Checkpoint & Rapter are out of the question $$$ wise!
Am still waiting for an answer from Cisco - but think $$$ problem
too!

We no longer allow attachments to files. To access/share Report Files,

(Note: If this link does not work for you the first time you try it, go to
www.egroups.com, login and be sure to save your password, choose My Groups,
choose Vantage, then choose Files. If you save the password, the link above
will work the next time you try it.)
