(off topic) Power supply question

Go to control panel and power management. There is a check box for showing
the icon on the taskbar. Don't know for sure where in 95 but it is under
the Advanced tab in 98.

We have a P1 500MB computer with Win 95. This morning a little power supply icon showed up on the taskbar. When I clicked on it, it said:
" Battery Monitor, On AC power, Battery remaining unknown" and a box was checked that said:
"enable low battery warning".
There is not a UPS backup installed on it. Is it the internal motherboard clock battery? It only has PC-DMIS software installed on it for our Quality Control machine (inspection).

Any ideas?

Look in two possible places. CMOS where on some machines advanced power
management attributes can be enabled or disabled. Or in the control pannel
where you have possibly a control icon that will give you control. What it
sounds like is some how that little program thinks its on a laptop and is
looking for the laptop battery to check. My advise, ditch win95 go with
Win2k, WinNt, or Win98. Win95 degrades overtime and causes annoying
problems.
