OFF TOPIC. Server drive cloning

for Basic drives, not Dynamic or RAID volumes:
http://clonezilla.org/clonezilla-live.php to clone the drive, then
http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php to increase the partition
size.

I've used it for server boot drives as well as VHDs and VMDKs.

have fun,
john

Subject: [Vantage] OFF TOPIC. Server drive cloning

I need to increase drive capacity in a SBS 2003 server but the FREE
software provided doesn't work on a server. Does anyone know of any
freeware that would accomplish this task? Acronis from Western Digital
is $600/server. Kind of expensive for a one time job...

Thanks in advance,

Symantec Backup Exec System Restore can handle this type of thing.

And they offer a fully functional 90 day trial on their website.

Not sure if SBS allows it, but you may be able to achieve this by converting
to a dynamic disk, depending on just what your situation is.
