[Off Topic] Type Cable Testers

If you are just looking for a simple device to test if a cable is good or not there are several brands for under $100.00 that work well. I use a device made by MicroTest called a Micro Mapper. You can see all available devices by searching "cable testers" on the web, (i.e. www.cdw.com)

Any suggestions for type-5 cable testers?

Currently considering Fluke MT-8200-32A for about $ 399.

Thanks,

If you're talking about Cat-5 Ethernet cable, I bought a TP600
LanRoverPRO made by Test-Um Inc. that works very well, and it has an
remote end so you don't have to have both ends together. It made
labeling the MESS of cables that I inherited, so much easy.
