I replaced all CAD workstation 16mb video cards with 32mb 3D Labs Oxygen
VX1 -- super nice cards for CAD... but I'm finding that our large Solids
files are choking during rendering even after 'thinning the file out' by
eliminating unnecessary elements. I'm currently evaluating the 3D Labs
GVX420 128mb video card... make sure you're sitting down when you see the
price tag though ;)

Don't forget a high quality video card too as that can affect rendering and
rotating models. Check with Unigraphics to see which brand/model they
recommend for best performance. Solidworks recommended a 3D Labs Oxygen for
us over the Elsa Gloria that came standard in our Compaq Professional
Workstation.
