FYI ...
When purchasing Toner, Ink, Printers, Fax Machines, Modems, etc ...
Normally I quote:
* Insight
* CDW
* Dartek
* Global ( sister company of Dartek )
* Micro Warehouse
Generally the routine is to email a quote request to each of the 5 companies
listing the last price I paid for each item in the quote ( if possible ).
Low quote wins the entire order.
Since all of the companies know that I'm quoting multiple sources I tend to
get pricing that is way below prices listed on their respective web pages.
As of last Friday I have a new player at the table. Dell has evidently
decided to buy it's way into this market by beating any price.
I requested a quote on a HP-92298X ( HP4 - Extended length cartridge - OEM )
... Dell quoted $ 85.00 ... I responded that my last price paid was $ 78.42
... The response from Dell was OK - they would beat that if they had to.
At any rate I'm not trying to promote DELL ... they don't need my help ...
just suggesting that you might want to get the best price you can find and
then goto DELL.
I have no idea how long they will stay this aggressive but we might as well
make use of it while we can.
