Have you tried re-installing Word/Office? That would be my first try.
Second, look for updates on Microsoft.com.

Hi Everyone,

I have a w2k prof. box running Microsoft Office. The Word program
will freeze/lock up after a short period of time. The cursor only
works in the system tray area. The fix is to end the job in Task
Manager. I have scanned for viruses with no report. Other programs
run fine. I have tried various word files and this happens to all
tried so far.

Thanks for your help,

John Mansfield

We are looking to implement a database calendar that all of our managers are able to access. Each individual manager will enter their employee's vacation days on the calendar. Our objective is to be able to look at this calendar and see when any employee is going on vacation. So, this would have to be a server application. Is anyone using something like this, or know of some good software I could look at?

Thanks!

Wendy,
We have just switched over to ACT 2000. It seems to be one of the best
contact management, integrated calender programs on the market.

I was wondering which version Pc anywhere anybody might be using to connect
remote workers to vantage. IE: the host and client version or just two
client versions.

I'm using v.9.2. Actually, users connect through the Internet through our firewall to an individual's own PC. It works well for me at home with DSL. We also use DSL at work. I have another user connecting to the Internet with a modem that is having problems.

I've got the same configuration but I'm using Netop 6.5 instead of
Pcanywhere. It works fine you just "Dial in" to your proxy NIC IP via RAS.
I've done it from both NT 4.0 and Win95C machines at home.
