One more thought I just got from a friend...
He said just Alt-Esc or just Ctrl-Esc. He found some that he was unable to
get to unless he created a keyboard error during the boot (unplugging it
works sometimes) and then chose to enter the setup from there. Again, good
luck.

I came into the job I am in from a hardware repair background so I actually
feel like I might have something to offer for a change...
Be aware that many of the older Acer computers REQUIRE a cold boot to get to
the bios. I can't remember any other key sequences for Acer than are
listed, but I do remember many of them did have that Cold Boot issue. Good
luck.

How old is the Acer? Many years ago they used the Ctrl-Alt-Esc key sequence
during the memory check to enter the BIOS. I think there may have been a
period when they used the Ctrl-S sequence as well before finally adopting
the standard Del key. Give each of these a shot during the memory test on
startup and see if you get lucky.

Regards,

John.
Has anyone been able to get into a Acer computers BIOS to change the hard
drive size that it thinks is in there.

If you are referring a Settings change we got round this problem by
attaching the base unit to a screen which was working fine else where.
This allowed us access to the settings screen in order to reset them.
When we plugged the original screen back in, the settings were fine
again.
Hope this is what you were looking for

I had an old (ancient) Gateway once that you had to press CNTL + ALT + S
at the C:\ prompt not during the memory sequence. Did that ever take
some time to figure out.
